Q How do you decide what to put on the menu?

Consultation with children at School councils, pupil and parent questionnaires, feedback from catering managers. All our menus have to conform to new government standards for school meals. See the School Food Trust for more details on www.schoolfoodtrust.org.uk

Q Where does your food come from'

All our suppliers are vetted to ensure that the food we provide on the menu is of a high standard. In many schools our menus contains dishes made with Red Tractor Meat, Marine Steward Council (MSC) Fish, Free Range Eggs and Organic Milk. We work with our schools and parents to ensure that the menus results in tasty, nutritious and affordable food for your child.

Q I want to try school meals - how do I pay?

Please contact your school to find out how to pay for school meals. There are some schools where we provide the dinner money collection.

We use a system called CASMAS. If your school has CASMAS, click here to find out more.

You may be entitled to a free school meal for your child. To find out if you are eligible call your local council for advice.

By taking up your entitlement you will be supporting the economic wellbeing of your locality.

By taking up your entitlement you will be supporting the economic wellbeing of your locality. As the school meal will satisfy around a third of your child’s nutritional needs you will have more funds available for meals taken outside of school and at home.

As School caterers we employ numerous part time local staff.

Many of our staff are parents themselves who are looking for a worthwhile job that fits with their domestic responsibilities. The higher the take-up of meals the more staff we can employ.

Q How can I see the menu?'

We review our menus at least twice per year and send out a copy of the new menu to every parent in each of our schools so that they know what is on and when it is available. If your child attends one of our schools, why not try our on line menu facility. Please click here to view your child's menu.
